This massive pre-Saharian location is the favorite site of people who are interested in mineral formations.
Circuses, tabular plates compose an almost lunar landscape whose colors are of a fascinating beauty especially at sunrise and sunset.
Saghro mountain is unique in the Moroccan Atlas: it will surprise you.
The hiking will start from Ait Youl village and will continue climbing up until we get to the Ichamrahen trail where we will take our lunch break before we eventually carry on walking across the mountain wilderness to Tidaqqit.

We resume walking again all along the valley leading to Tifdassine Gorge (1230 m) where we deviate to the oasis of M’Guis (1280 m).
NB. Walking time: 6:30. Elevation gain: 620 m vertical drop: 400 m.
We leave the small but gorgeous oasis at the top to begin an ascent that will take us to Touggourt in 2:30 (1700 m). After a gentle slope, we will cross the circus of Tamazirte, to get Tadaout’n Teblah ( the back of the table) before we finally descend to the famous rock Bab’n Ali (1380 m).

We go upwards through the beautiful valley of Aqqa’n Oufourar until Bouallouz. A narrow path will leads us to the top of Tiz’n Igli (1710m) which its stunningly great view of the massive desert Saghro as the famous rock of the head of the camel. After a nice lunch break, we will attack a great rush to Guer-Tssagdal (2190 m) where we board our tents for a restful night sleep.

Very early in the morning and after a nice breakfast, we will start to climb up the highest peak of Saghro mountain, known as the Qouaouch (2660 m). When we get to the summit we will immediately start descending all the way down to the meadow Almou’n Ouareg (2400 m) where the muleteers will have prepared a home-made lunch and wait for our arrival. We will continue afterwards on a path that goes up to iFart (2550 m) for another peacefully restful night under the tents.

The following day will start with another delicious breakfast, after which we begin the long descent to Tagdilt (1600 m) where we will have our last lunch with all the team members. Our transportation will be awaiting us for a nice trip back to the guest house.
