Crossing over the Atlas and the amazing valley of Tassaout

Whilst trekking in the M’Goun massif, you will encounter a myriad of colors from landscapes with sharp contracts, you will dive into the refreshing oueds (rivers), you will meet the local villagers who live in houses nestled in the hollow of valleys, and above all you will heave yourself.

Dailly program

Day 01

From Marrakech

You will meet the guide early in the morning in Marrakech and leave by car to Magdez.

Lunch will be served once you get there then a short visit of the village and its surroundings will bring the day full circled.

You will spend the night in the tents.

Day 02

First day in the Valley of Tassaout

You will join the mule team to go hiking along the valley of Tassaout until Imi’nIkis which is another small village where we will bring our bivouac.

Day 03

The Wandras canyon

We explore the most dramatic part of Tassaout valley. Lunch is served in the beautiful Wandras canyon.

Part of the afternoon (abound 1:30 hour) will be spent climbing until Odaghmemen which is another lovely spot to fully enjoy the stunning view of the valley (2580 m).

Day 04

Asderm (3200 m)

We will continue climbing for 4h to reach Asderm (3200m) then we will cross the sheep bars. Lunch will be served in the plain of Tarkaddidt and the night will be spent in the tents.
NB. Ascent of the M’Goun (4067 m). People who decide to climb up to the summit of the M’Goun mountain will leave at dawn (4:30 am) with the guide. The others will leave later with the mule team, straight to the bivouac spot Tiggitime.

Day 05

Ameskar waterfalls

We walk along the valley until Tichki, then we explore the waterfalls of Ameskar.

40 minutes later, we reach the shelter.

The Night is spent with the local inhabitants.

Day 06

The gorges of Ameskar

We will walk down the valley to the gorges of Ameskar.

Lunch at Amejgag where the car waits for us.Visiting the Valley of Roses by car.

Night at a guest house.

Day 07

Transfer to the riad in Marrakech where our services end.
