Marrakech to Kelaa M’gouna

We will meet around breakfast in Marrakech, then we will enjoy a 6h trip by a private vehicle from Marrakech to Kelaa M’Gouna via Tiz’nTichka pass. When we get there, we will stay in our guesthouse in the valley of roses.

Meet the team and start hiking

After breakfast, we start hiking from a small village “Mirna” (1550 m) upwards the M’Goun river. We walk up the Valley of Roses until Tigharmatine where lunch is served. After a short break, we walk again until the village of Touzrikt for a first night camping.
Walking length: 6 hours

Toubiste (1400m) - Moggaltat (2025m)- Alemdoun (1700m)

After breakfast, we hike through old villages like Toubiste (1400 m) from which we go up to Moggaltat pass (2025 m), then we reach the Talkadit river where we will have our lunch. In the afternoon, we keep crossing several times the river and the beautiful gorges of Agouti (3km long).
This second night spent under tents in Almedoun (1770 m).

Alemdoun (1700m)- Aselda (2400m) – Ameskar (2100m)

We start walking from Alemdoun (1770 m) to Asselda high mountain (2440 m) inhabited by nomad families during the fall and spring to enjoy the rainy waters that form small lakes. Once at the summit, a beautiful view dominates the High Central Atlas and Djebel Saghro. The path leads to the nomad source where we stop for lunch before we resume walking towards a very pretty village called Ameskar El Fouqani (2100 m).
Night spent in a family house.
Walking time: 7 hours.

Ameskar – Touchar- Tinviam

Early start from Ameskar to Touchar, a mountain reaching 2560 m height at the summit of which we will enjoy a beautiful view on Tinviam. We go down to Tinviam, a very beautiful isolated village in a contrasting valley of reds and greens. After breakfast, we walk again until Aguerzakka.
The night is spent under tents

Tinviam- Isoummar- Boutaghrar

We spend this last day walking in the gorges crossing several times the Jamou river. We have our breakfast in Aït Mraw. The night is spent in Boutaghrar then we go back to the hotel.
