Excursion 01

Departure From Marrakech to Essaouira

Today, we will need to depart as early as possible so that we might save enough time to enjoy in the charming city of Essaouira located on the Atlantic costs.

The trip normally takes around 3h. As soon as we get to the city, we will go together for a guided visit to explore some of the most interesting places of the city such as: the port, the beautiful Moulay Hassan square, the souks, the fish market, the small streets.

During the visit, we will be able to discover some typical craft of Mogador like: Thuya work and silver in order to give you an overview of the city, then you will be given some free time to have lunch and enjoy the rest of the time on your own. You will return to Marrakech at the end of the afternoon to reach the “Red City” around 7:00 PM.

Excursion 02

The southern costs of Morocco

On this 7 day-trip, you will discover the most interesting sites of Marrakech, then you wonder in Agadir – the beautiful coastal cities of Southern Morocco. You will also enjoy some relax time of their peaceful pace before exploring the historical city of Taroudant.

Day 01

Group meeting and night in a hotel or Riad in Marrakech

In the afternoon, you will meet your trip leader in the lobby of the hotel to introduce you to the rest of the group members and give a brief talk about the upcoming journey to check your expectations and get you ready for the adventure. Again, you are kindly reminded not to hesitate to ask if you have any special requests, interest or need.

Day 02

Marrakech- Essaouira

After breakfast, we will explore Marrakech through a guided visit walking from our Riad to the magnificent palace named Bahia Palace. Afterwards, we will pass by the souks through narrow alleyways of the medina. Upon the end of the visit, we will travel in private vehicle to Essaouira.

Day 03

Essaouira sightseeing

The entire day will be devoted to exploring this beautiful coastal city. First, our guided visit will start from our Riad towards the old Jewish quarter, then we will get lost in the medina in order to discover its different beautiful places (I.e fish market, the port, crafts such as wood work and silver work). For lunch, you are invited to taste a mouthwatering dishes made out of mixture of types of fishes cooked in the Moroccan way.
To organize such a meal, we will go shopping. We will buy fish from locals in the market, then buy spices and vegetables before we have it cooked in a local restaurant (the meal will be big since there will be an interesting variety of fishes). The afternoon will be at your leisure but for your convenience we suggest the following in case you are interested :

Day 04

Essaouira - Agadir

After breakfast, we will drive along the cost further south towards the city of Agadir. The views are fantastically spectaculars on this road. When we get to Agadir, we will explore the city starting from a visit of the typical market known by Souk EL Hed. Afterwards, we will drive to explore a part of the city that survived the earthquake of the early 1960s before we head back to our hotel for a rest to plan the rest of the afternoon together.

Day 05

Agadir to Sidi Ifni

In the morning, we will travel by car from Agadir to Sidi Ifni via beautiful city called Tiznit. We will discover other aspects of Moroccan society and cultures during this longs drive that will lasts 3h30. On the road, we will have a chance beach of Legzira in one of our stops before we arrive to Sidi Ifni in drive of 20 minutes. The afternoon will be relaxing and explore the beaches and the views of the city.

Day 06

Sidi Ifni to Taroudante

The morning will be spent mostly driving. Indeed, first, we will drive back to Agadir then we will be at 70 km from our next destination which is Taroudante. This city was the the capital of Morocco during the Saadian dynasty. However, it has been forgotten afterwards because the following dynasties chose bigger cities such Marrakech, Fes, Meknes or Rabat to be their capital. We will spend the afternoon exploring the city, its ramparts, its souks or other popular places and squares.

Day 07

Taroudante to Marrakech

After Breakfast, we will be heading back to Marrakech via the high way of Agadir, the drive lasts 3h30 during which time we will enjoy a nice contrast of colors and landscapes. Lunch will be served in Marrakech before the check-in at our Riad. In the afternoon, we recommend a discovery of the new part of the city via horse carriage tour of 1h.
Since this will be our last dinner together, we recommend to have it in one of the modern restaurants downtown.
